We are recruiting for an experienced Workshop Controller for our client based in the Sutton In Ashfield area. You must have a strong & proven background in the Commercial Vehicle industry for this role, a technical (in HGV’s) background plus relevant qualifications is essential. This role could ideally suit a lead technician, supervior or charge hand looking for their next challenge or next step in their career progression/path
Overall responsibility for efficient operation of the vehicle workshop including maintenance standards, health and safety, job allocation, technical assistance & effective manpower planning. You will give assistance and technical advice leading from the front managing across both day and late shifts responsible for technicians and admin staff. The fleet consists of 3.5t up to 44t tractor units,
The candidate will have to demonstrate the ability to deliver in the following key areas of the business

Knowledge of Kerridge – IT system
Class 1 HGV licence – desireable

The job
¶?To ensure that you and your team work in a cohesive manner in order to achieve the vehicle availability requirements of internal and external customers, including servicing, maintenance and breakdown requirements within the planned costs.
Job allocation planning work loads, Liaise and negotiate with parts department, Ensure customers?? service schedules, MOT and O Licence requirements are maintained, Provide technical support to the workshop
¶?Ensure safety standards are implemented and followed to ensure full compliance to legislation and to the companies health and safety and environmental policies
¶?Provide management, support and guidance to the Workshop Staff in order that they perform to the desired standards, and in line with company targets and personal objective

Monday to Friday

The Salary
¶32,000 to ¶35,000 pa basic plus benefits
